Many individual radio models are supported by Hamlib. Most are in a collective group related either by manufacuturer or command protocol. The idea behind Hamlib is to present one common API for controlling the radios regardless of their native protocol.
Model list from rigctl
As of Hamlib 3.0.1, the list of supported radios:
Models marked with 'Untested' means that the backend author only wrote the code based on available documentation but did not have access to the actual radio.
Models marked with 'Alpha' means that work is in progress and more support is likely to be added to the backend.
Models marked 'Beta' are generally perfectly usable in most applications but the developer is looking for more testing before declaring it stable.
Models marked as 'Stable' are generally feature complete and will only receive minimal updates.
Model list rig matrix
In addition to the list above, there is also the rig matrix which shows the status of each model and a grapical table of its capabilities. This matrix is generated with each Hamlib stable release. Unfortunately, the list is unsorted at this time. To find a desired radio model, please use your browser's search function (often bound to Ctrl-F).
